Targeting public neoantigens for cancer immunotherapy:p53R175HandKRASG12V

Dr. Sandra Gabelli

Dr. Sandra Gabelli is the Global Head of Protein and Structural Chemistry at the Merck company, one of the leading pharmaceutical companies worldwide. Dr. Gabelli received her PhD degree in Biophysics at the Johns Hopkins University, and wasa tenured faculty of medicine with joint appointments in the departments of Oncology, Biophysics and Biophysical Chemistry, and Art as Applied to Medicine. Dr. Gabelli has published more than 100 research papers, including those in Nature, Science and Cell. Dr. Gabelli’s research is aimed at elucidating the molecular mechanisms of proteins involved in signaling pathways dysregulated in diseases such as cancer. Using structural biology and biochemical approaches, she has made tremendous contribution to the field by elucidating the molecular mechanisms of signal transduction and oncogenic activation in PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway, the structural basis for novel immunotherapies targeting tumor neoantigens and the detailed molecular features of various pathogen enzymes. Currently, as an academic leader in the Merck company, Dr. Gabelli is passionate to understand the structural basis of signaling in human cancers, cardiovascular diseases, neuroscience and infectious diseases, and facilitate the drug discovery with such structural and molecular understanding.
